Learning how to pray effectively is one of the most important things a believer can ever do in his or her Christian walk. Really a believer cannot be a success in fulfilling Gods purpose in his or her life if he or she does not know how to pray according to the scriptual principles or rules.
A believer prayer life should be based and built on the word of God. Because the word of God is the will of God. Dont you ever make a mistake to pray outside The word of God. If you want to always receive answers to your prayers whenever you pray,then follow this seven steps to answered prayer.
Seven proven steps to answer prayer.
1) Be specific and stand on God's promises.
Step number one to recieving answer to our prayer is to decide what you want from God and find the scripture or scriptures that definitely promises you those things. If the scripture does not promise you whatever you are desiring,then you don't have any business praying for those things.And you shouldn't desire any thing that the word of God says you should not have.
2) You must ask for what you want.
The step number two to recieving answer to our prayer is to ask God for the things you want and believe that you have received them.Jesus Himself said we should ask for what we need.
John 16:23,24
"23 and in that day ye shall ASK me nothing.Verily verily I say unto you,whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name,He will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name;ask and ye shall receive,that your joy may be full."
So ask God for the things you want and need,and then Believe that you have them.
3) Be positive in your thinking:
Most believers after praying according to God's word , they do allow or permit mental picture of failure to remain in their mind. When you permit mental picture of failure in your mind,you won't receive answer to your prayer. It will hinder your prayer from being answered.
After you have prayed in faith according to God's word,never permit any mental picture of failure in your mind. When you have prayed and asked GOD for what you want never doubt for one minute that you have the answer. If doubt persist resist it,it's from the devil 😈 . The Bible says
James 4:7
"...... resist the devil and he will flee from you".
1 Peter 5:8
"Be sober,be vigilant, because your adversary the devil ,as a roaring lion,walkesth about,seeking whom he may devour".
*Resist doubt*
*Reject anything else that contradicts the word of God.
4)Guard your mind:
Step number four to receiving answer to our prayers is to guard our mind against every evil thought that comes into your mind to try to make you doubt the word of God.
Philippians 4:8
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things that are TRUE, whatsoever things are HONEST, whatsoever things are JUST, whatsoever things are PURE, whatsoever things are LOVELY,, whatsoever things are OF GOOD REPORT,if there be ANY VIRTURE,and if there be ANY PRAISE,think on those things",
The Bible tells us exactly what to think on . So think on those things.
5) meditate on God's promises :
Step number 5 to answered prayer is to meditate constantly on God's promises upon which you based the answer to your prayers.
Proverbs 4:20-23
"23 my son ,attend to my words, incline thine ear unto my sayings.
24 let them not depart from thine eyes,keep them in the midst of thine hear.
25 for they are lifeunto those that find themand health to all their feed.,"
God said my son attend to my words and He will make his Word good in your life. When you meditate on the Word of God,your prayer Life will ever change. Try to always meditate on God's and your prayer life he heard.
6) continually thank God for the Answer:
Step number six to receiving answered prayer is in your every waking moment, think on the greatness of God and His goodness, and count your blessings. This will increase your Faith.
Lift your heart to God continually in increasing praise and gratitude for what He has done for and what He is doing for you now.
Philippians 4:6
"6. Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7)Make every prayer a statement of faith:
Step number seven to answered prayer is to make every prayer relative to what you've asked a statement of faith unstead on unbelief.
You can think and say words of faith just as easily as you can think and say words of doubts and unbelief. It is thinking faith thoughts and speaking faith words that leads the heart out of defeat in to victory.
Most believers do go far to say that they don't have faith. They keep asking God to give them faith. But the scripture made us to understend that God has dealt to everyman a messure of God kind of faith.
Romans 12:3
"3 for I say ,through the grace given unto me,to every man that is among you not to think more highly than he ought to think;but to think soberly,according as GOD HATH DEALT TO EVERY MAN THE MEASURE OF FAITH".
GOD HAS DEALTH TO EVERY MAN THE MEASURE OF FAIRH. Therefore,every believer can receive answers to their prayers. If you say you don't have faith ,then you are making God out to be a liar. You do have faith. Every man has Faith if he is saved. You need to use the faith you have in order for your Faith to be effectual.
