Mark 11:23
'verily verily i say unto you ,whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he saith".
If you look closely into the above Bible passage you will see that Jesus was only talking about the saying aspect of FAITH.No where in this verse would you find the word PRAYER. He said" if ye shall say unto this mountain be thou removed." Note that the mountain Jesus was talking about here can be also be referred to sickness, death, imfirmity and so on. So we can have faith in our hearts and then speak to mountains and they will be moved. That what JESUS was saying here.
PRAYER OF FAITH.
The prayer of faith is a vital way by which we receive answers to our prayers. Most Time we do find it difficult to thank GOd after we have requested something from Him in prayer. Most time we do keep complaining that GOD did not answer our prayers why we are the ones making the mistake.
GOD is a faith filled GOD and if we must serve Him we must be FAITH filled also. That is why the Bible tells us in Hebrew 11 that without faith it is impossible to please God.
Receiving answers to our prayers requires faith. We must first believe before we see the answer. That why the bible tells us in
Mark 11:24
"24 For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you"
The bible says you should believe first what you have asked in accordance with the word of God and they will be given to you. You see this law cannot be changed no matter how we try to keep saying that seeing is believing. So always thank God when ever you asked for something.
Thank him always for the answer.
